Immigration Minister Peter Dutton's proposed immigration changes include: Stricter rules around English language testing and ‘Australian Values’, as well as an extended four year wait for people seeking citizenship.

Before it is voted on, the legislation has now been referred to a Senate Committee who will hear community opinions before making recommendations about the laws.

We know that the stories and experiences of real people being affected by these laws will be the most useful when it comes to persuading the Committee and winning public opinion.
